Most calcium supplements contain Calcium Carbonate, however our Calcium capsules use a citrate form which is more easily absorbed and carries all the same benefits. It may be of particular benefit to those who are sensitive to antacids or who have difficulty producing adequate stomach acid; Calcium Carbonate carries a risk of the stomach overcompensating by producing more acid while Calcium Citrate has no effect on stomach acid.

Going through menopause, painful stiff joints mainly lower back were affecting my everyday life including exercise as I was so tired and drained as it was waking me through the night. Five years of being on HRT wasn’t helping. I then started researching into supplements, and now take one calcium tablet, one omega oil, vitamin d and k and magnesium and feel like a new person! More energy, sleeping better and even my mental sharpness is back which is a bonus as I thought I’d lost that forever!

I chose the Calcium Citrate as it stated it was gentle on the stomach but after 3 days of taking them I had to stop due to stomach pain and cramps. Definitely not suitable for me unfortunately.

Product: Calcium Citrate is much more digestible than Calcium Carbonate.
Bought for protection of senior aging bones, also younger member of family with history of poor nutrition. Taken in conjunction with Vit D - we all now have normal calcium levels.
I decided to try the calcium citrate capsules due to not been able to tolerate calcium carbonate.

Unfortunately I did not find the citrate any better. I still experienced heartburn, stomach upset and constipation.
