Just Vitamins 5-HTP is derived from Griffonia Seed, using a specially developed process that retains as much of the active 5-HTP as possible. The Griffonia Seed powder is then compressed into an easy-swallow, coated caplet, with each caplet providing 100mg of 5-HTP (in amino acid form).

Unlike cheaper Griffonia Seed powder, our UK-sourced material is 99% pure. This means that it only requires 101mg of Griffonia Seed to make our 100mg caplet. Some of the cheaper supplements on the market (often supplied in hard-capsules) use inferior 70% material, which is much less pure than ours, and also require addional 'fillers' to bulk out the capsule.

You can also be assured that Just Vitamins 5HTP is certified to be 'Peak-X' free, and is sourced and manufactured in the UK to GMP quality standards.

Price update 14th Jan 2010: Due to a poor harvest of Griffonia plant, the cost of good quality 5-HTP raw material has almost trebled in price since mid-late 2009. We refuse to compromise the quality of our 5-HTP supplement, so we have continued to purchase this high-end material. Unfortunately this has meant that the sales price of this supplement has had to increase accordingly. We will continue to monitor the prices and will adjust our prices back down if the market stabilises. Beware of cheap 5HTP supplements on the market - they may not contain exactly what you expect!

Directions

For restful sleep, swallow one to three 5-HTP 100mg caplets per day, 45 minutes before bedtime. Take for 3 months then stop for a month, review, and re-start if required.
