Dr Bashir, a clinical chemist with a PhD in pharmaceutical drug development, joined the natural supplement industry in the 1990s when it was still in its infancy. He was then one of only a handful of chemists working in the field. Originally destined for the world of conventional drugs, his extensive scientific research into natural supplements led him to become increasingly convinced of their ability to help support and improve well-being. I will only advise people to take something if I think there is enough scientific evidence that it will work for them.’ Dr Bashir, who firmly believes that there is a role for both conventional and natural medicine, is also happy to talk to a customer’s GP should they require any further details of scientific data.
